How to make your website project go smoothly
Based on my experience, the clients who get the most benefit from my services and find the experience at least trouble-free if not downright enjoyable are those who:
- Have decided that they NEED - not want - a website
- Have seriously thought about the benefits and objectives of having a website
- Have made preparations including:
- Choosing a domain name (I recommend that you choose 3 in case your first choice is unavailable)
- Gathering and organizing their content) and are ready to get their projects done NOW. Most website projects come to grief because of inadequate forethought and planning, in addition to foot-dragging.
- Are comfortable working with computers and the Internet - a lot of emailing is needed.
- Have a budget already allocated for their website project
Delay and lack of planning doom many website projects causing them to stall completely, the cost of developing the site to escalate unnecessarily.
